Next Dodge Viper looks to draw inspiration from “a Naked Woman on the Beach”

“A naked woman on the beach” is going to be the theme for the next generation of the Dodge Viper. This is what Ralph Gilles who heads the design section of Chrysler stated at the Automotive News World Congress in Detroit. To be “drop-dead beautiful” in looks is what he mentioned was the intention of his section to give the next cars to come from this company.

There has been a steady decline of sales that the company has been facing for the past few years. In 2010 for example the company could sell only 392 units and then production just ceased. It therefore requires a new thought all together to get the Dodge back into market.

Sources had previously contemplated that the new model would be based on the Alfa Romeo 8C. But that is not to be so as clarified by Gilles. He also went on to add that the engine too would be that of the Ferrari. The car to be would be a cost effective car is what he stated he was confident about. It is to be seen with the 2013 MY Dodge Viper that is to come next on how much these statements hold water.
