Hungary based X-Tomi Design has recently envisaged the next generation Mazda2 based on the Hazumi concept that is being showcased in the ongoing Geneva Show.
Now that Mazda has unveiled the Hazumi concept, many car designers have started to come up with different renders of the upcoming Mazda2. Seen here is a very possible look for the Japanese supermini that is slated to be unveiled most likely at the Paris Motor Show before an early 2015 market launch. The render shows a slightly toned down look with more production-ready headlights and a regular fog light + daytime running light arrangement.
Also, the concept’s flashy wheels are gone and now it has conventional mirrors instead of the concept’s cameras. There are regular door handles in the render and even though there are several other minor changes, the overall appearance of the car has been maintained which implies that the production version of the model has a lot of potential in terms of design and it should turn out to be one of the prettiest models in this challenging segment.
The concept shown by Mazda at the show has dimensions of 4,070mm length, 1,730mm width, 1,450mm tall and a 2,585mm wheelbase. The concept is powered by a new 1.5-liter SKYACTIV Euro 6-compliant turbodiesel engine mated to 6-speed automatic transmission with CO2 emissions of less than 90 g/km.
