Someone has only just managed to snatch quite a few images that depict the next generation Pajero model from the Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi. This is the very first time ever that images of the car surface on the World Wide Web. Speaking of the Mitsubishi Pajero, it is also known as the Mitsubishi Montero or the Mitsubishi Shogun in some parts of the world.
Taking a look at these first spy images of the 2016 Pajero from Mitsubishi, it is clear that the car will have a significantly more modern design than that of the outgoing model. The car now sports a pair of swept back headlamps that flank its prominently looking front grille. Looking further, the new Pajero model from the Japanese company can also be seen featuring muscular wheel arches, a gently sloping roofline and also a shoulder line that sweeps upwards. And, looking further to the rear end of the car, we can see that the car now has a more rounded design than its predecessor, despite the rear end being camouflaged.
Unfortunately, this first batch of spy images of the car does not happen to reveal what the car may hold on its interior. As such, we can only expect that it will have a high quality cabin that has been upgraded from the predecessor and some luxury amenities of the modern days.
The engine that the car will have under the hood still remains a mystery, too, as of now. Yet, as in the case of most of today’s cars, it seems that the car will be coming with diesel, petrol and even plug-in hybrid engines. The latter may use an engine configuration similar to that used by the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
Though details on the vehicle remain scarce, the 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero could be coming with a chassis that makes the car not as heavy as its outgoing version. Better agility and handling are also to be expected.
