Nissan Motor on Thursday stated CEO Hiroto Saikawa had held a one-on-one meeting with the acting boss of its partner Renault during talks between the alliance that took place in Amsterdam this week.
Nissan stated that Saikawa characterized the discussion with Renault Deputy CEO Thierry Bollore as “positive” and “productive”.
The Japanese automaker was ready to directly share the outcomes of its in-house investigation into supposed financial misconduct by former chairman Carlos Ghosn with its French partner, it added.
The two bosses met as the automakers grapple about the future of their alliance following the arrest of Ghosn, the architect of the partnership, in Japan over accusations that he understated his earnings.
