Fans of the Japanese automaker, Nissan, will soon be able to see a new vehicle from the company first hand. Thing is, the company is going to bring its latest creation, the Nissan Lannia, to the upcoming 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. Yet, ahead of the event, the company has decided to release a double teaser.
If you remember correctly, the Japanese company introduced a vehicle concept named the Friend-ME around two years ago. That concept happens to be the origin of the upcoming Lannia. The Japanese automaker first showed off the Lannia concept back in the year 2014. Now, it seems that Nissan has the thought it is about time it launches the production version, which is why it has decided to tease the public with the production ready Lannia. Judging by how the car looks in the teaser video, it is safe to say that the 2016 Nissan Lannia is going to share a lot of things with the 2016 Nissan Maxima.
Interestingly enough, according to reports, this is the very first time ever that the Japanese automaker is designing a vehicle that is focused on the young generations of China. As such, the car is going to sport a dynamic as well as muscular exterior, a front grille with a V motion design and also boomerang style headlamps.
The 2016 Nissan Lannia is going to come in the form of a mid-size sedan. Nissan is planning to officially show off the car at this year’s Shanghai Motor Show. Then, the car will hit dealerships starting from the second half this year itself. Some market analysts out there believe that Nissan may well make the car available for the Chinese market only. Nevertheless, if we are to believe in the words of Andy Palmer, the former chief product planning officer at Nissan, the Lannia should be available worldwide as well.
