The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider was already spotted a handful of times before. Yet, photos of the vehicle were always unofficial photos. This time, however, someone has managed to leak out official images of the upcoming roadster from the Italian car manufacturing company. The images are now spread across the World Wide Web.
So, unlike in the preceding year, we can all now enjoy some official photos of the vehicle and for your information, these photos are completely revealing ones. The vehicle can be seen borrowing plenty of styling cues from its coupe counterpart. With that being said, it is really not that shocking at all to see the car being built on a carbon fiber body chassis. In addition to that, the vehicle in question also sports a windscreen ring and a carbon fiber roll-bar cover. Comparing it to the coupe, the roadster looks far more attractive, thanks to its new headlamps and carbon fiber air intake that is situated at the side of the driver.
As for the powertrain, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider will most likely feature a turbocharged 1.75L 4-cylinder engine that runs on petrol and is capable of delivering 240 hp and 350 Nm of total power and torque. Reaching the speed of 100 km/h from a stationary position requires only four and a half seconds. As for the top speed of the roadster, it is rated somewhere around the speed mark of 258 km/h.
The 4C Spider from the Italian automaker, Alfa Romeo, was first previewed by the Alfa Romeo 4C concept vehicle back in Marh 2014. Now, the Italian company is planning a global debut for the vehicle and it seems that this will happen during the imminent Detroit auto show. As for the European debut of the vehicle, it will most likely take place in this year’s Geneva Motor Show event.
