A highly motivated and skilled driver of a modest 1993 Citroën AX 14D managed to lap the tracks of Nürburgring (bridge to gantry) in an amazing time of 9 minutes and 55 seconds.

The McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder and LaFerrari might be dueling for the ‘Ring crown but we believe that the honorary award should go to this 1993 Citroën AX 14D or better said, to the driver behind the wheel. After as many as seven years of attempts, nine engines, five gearboxes and 118 laps, he finally managed to complete the run at the tracks in less than ten minutes with an impressive time of 9m 55s.

The AX 14D manages to pack a 52 hp (39 kW) punch from a diesel engine and was left mostly stock as the driver changed only the front tires with Yokohama Advan A048s, increased the fuel pressure, installed a strutbar, xenon headlights and an aluminum intake from a 1.5D engine while the cabin was stripped out of unnecessary weight.

Well we have to say that it is a great achievement and job well done by the driver.
