One dead after crash involving a stolen car in St. Paul

St. Paul police say one person is dead after a crash involving a stolen vehicle early Thursday morning in Minnesota.

Police said the incident took place around 4 a.m. near the intersection of Minnehaha Avenue East and Atlantic Street when a person driving a stolen car ran a stop sign and broadsided another car.

The driver of the car that was struck. He died and the passenger of that car admitted to Regions Hospital, where she is in stable condition, according to police. Additionally, police say two people in the stolen car escaped from the scene.

More information is expected to be provided later on Thursday.
