Trooper injured in Medford, Massachusetts, after car hits

A state police trooper had injuries after a multi-car crash involving his cruiser on Interstate 93 northbound in Medford, Massachusetts on early Thursday morning.

A trooper pulled over an erratic driver in the area of Roosevelt Circle during 1:20 a.m. when another car hit his cruiser from behind, according to state police.

The trooper was then taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and has since been released.

The three vehicles sustained enough damage.

Arrests on gun and operating under the influence charges were made after the initial traffic stop, police said.

No further information has been released as of yet.
