A 49-year-old man was killed in a deadly 8-car crash in Syracuse, New York on Tuesday morning.
Syracuse Police say officers responded to the collision in West Fayette Street and West Street around 7:48 a.m.
Eight cars were involved in the crash. Multiple people were injured at the scene with several people admitted to area hospitals.
A 49-year-old man injured in the crash later died of his injuries, police say.
Police say their investigation discovered that a Nissan Altima was driving east on West Fayette Street and crashed with several cars stopped at the red light.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5148.
