Opel Adam production commences in Germany

by SpeedLux

If someone requires an interesting, jolly good city car that’s built in Germany the only choice would be the Opel Adam, a direct rival to the Italian Fiat 500, which has just entered production in Germany.

This is a proud moment for Germany and for the entire company. The ADAM is bold, innovative and versatile, and thus embodies the pioneering spirit that is moving Opel into a new era,” says Steve Girsky, Opel Supervisory Board Chairman, GM Vice Chairman and President GM Europe.

The Adam is based on a new platform resulting from that of the Corsa and has been named after the company’s founder.

Designed specifically for Europe, It’s available in three orderly levels with a choice of either 1.2-liter or 1.4-liter petrol engines, mated to a five-speed gearbox.

It is a total commitment from the team responsible for making this concept a reality. The entire team involved in this project must be proud since they have got the opportunity to create a concept which will be unique and distinctive from every aspect.

Since the production has started there will be more in store to know about qualities and specialties of the car before it is launched officially.

Till then enjoy browsing the pictures.
