The automaker Opel has taken the liberty of introducing the 2015 model year Corsa OPC at the Geneva Motor Show event this year. Before its debut at the aforementioned auto expo, the car had actually made its appearance on the online world. If you remember correctly, it was unveiled online last February.
On the stage of the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, this latest vehicle model from Opel comes wrapped in a flashy blue paint job. Designed as a 2015 model year vehicle, the standard variant of the Opel Corsa is unfortunately not a completely new model, to be honest. In fact, it is more of a facelift instead. It has a lot of similarities with the outgoing Corsa model, after all. Thankfully, however, this is not the case with the OPC variant of the model. The 2015 Opel Corsa OPC looks pretty fresh and attractive. To begin with, it sports a more aggressively looking body than that of its predecessor. The car also sits firmly on 17-inch bespoke alloy wheels that are nicely wrapped in Michelin-made tires.
Beneath its engine hood, this new vehicle from the aforementioned automaker hides a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine with turbocharger. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, this engine delivers 207 HP and 280 Nm of power and torque, respectively. This engine also makes it possible for the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in no more than 6.8 seconds. Its top speed, meanwhile, is 230 km/h. Opel also points out that the car is going to consume 7.5 L/100 km.
Yet, for those customers out there that don’t find themselves satisfied after purchasing a regular variant of the 2015 Opel Corsa, they can opt for a Performance Package, which is available optionally. This package will give them a stiffer chassis, Brembo brakes, multi-disc differential locking system by Dexter and 18-inch wheels.
The 2015 Opel Corsa is to be sold starting from May this year itself.
