Honda has finally pulled the wraps of the facelifted CR-Z, and finally the much anticipated car from Honda is here.
The Honda CR-Z was earlier launched at the Indonesian Auto Show, the actual place where it was to be launched was here at Paris, but they unveiled it at that Show. Well now lets shift our focus to the tweaks carried out in the new Honda CR-Z.
The facelifted CR-Z is comes with a new front grille, a new front bumper, redesigned fog lamps, HID headlights, a rear diffuser, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
As well as, now the colour schemes for the Honda CR-Z includes two new colors, which are the Premium Northern Lights Violet and the Premium Energetic Yellow Pearl. Besides these, future customers of the model will be able to order the White Pearl, the Crystal Black and the Milano Red.
Talking about the Engine- In Indonesia, the facelifted CR-Z came with a 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine, which gave out a total output of 120 HP At 6,600 rpm with the 6-speed manual and 118 HP for the CVT. An anti-vibration knock sensor has been introduced and the material of the crankshaft has been upgraded.
The highlight over here is the Plus Sport (S+) boost system. Suppose if the battery is more than 50% charged, the driver can activate the system using the S+ button on the steering wheel. When the accelerator is pressed, an electric boost delivers increased acceleration for up to 10 seconds.A flashing gauge on the dashboard indicates when the system is active, and S+ can be used in Econ, Normal or Sport modes.
The uplifted CR-Z features safety terms like the ABS with brake assist, EBD(Electronic Brake Distribution), VSA(Vehicle Stability Assistance), side airbags, side curtain airbags, two front airbags and active headrests.
