According to Peugeot, the concept car SR1 Hybrid displays their future design direction and represents what could be expected of the brand. Because of that Peugeot fans are raising their glasses in celebration.
The Peugeot SR 1 hybrid is among the nicest concepts on display at the ongoing 2010 Geneva Motor Show and is quite an achievement for the French carmaker.
The car is meant to have an all wheel drive system, excellent handling, and with an output of 313 horsepower and a carbon dioxide emission is at a low 119 grams per kilometer. SR 1 has achieved something for the brand whose been struggling in the aesthetics department for quite a while.
Inside, you have a 2+1 setup. A couple with a kid in a cool car will give more sense than a GT trying too hard to pack two kids in the back seat. The dashboard features a removable, elegant watch customized by Bell&Ross. The leather, cool dials on the dash, and aluminum might just be too hyped for production compared with the feasibility of the exterior.
The 95 horsepower electric motor is coupled with the 218 hp 1.6L 4-cylinder THP engine through the use of Hybrid4 technology. The HYbrid4 will be used in the 3008 schedule to come out next year.
If something like the HYbrid4 will be used in a production version of the SR 1 then a lot will definitely want the car in their garage. Who will not love a car with a fuel mileage of 4.9L per 100 kilometers or 48 mile for every gallon?
