Peugeot confirms RCZ will reach second generation

Peugeot manager Maxime Picat has declared that the RCZ will receive 2nd generation.

Uplifting news for fans of the French snappy coupe as the RCZ won’t be cut out as per Peugeot’s boss Maxime Picat. The eventual fate of the model was in uncertainty after PSA proclaimed back in April arrangements to diminish its lineup from 45 to 26 models by 2020. The RCZ won’t be a victim of this choice as the organization accepts its a critical model in the lineup.

Considering the RCZ was facelifted in September 2012, the second era will probably arrive at some point one year from now or 2016 and will utilize the Emp2 platform from the all-new 308 so expect a respectable weight reduction.

We remind you that as per PSA’s “back in the race” technique, Citroën is relied upon to move down business while Peugeot will turn into a more premium brand so as to better separate the two. Contingent upon the plan’s prosperity, PSA could consider a U.S. comeback, yet its still no less than three to four years away.
