Pink Audi A1 Art Car by Hirst Fetches Sells For a Whooping Half a Million Dollars

Thursday June 24 was marked by a very special auction item at Elton John’s the 12th annual White Tie & Tiara Ball – a brand-new Audi A1 art car. The British Damien Hirst has painted the sedan. The art car surpassed all expectations by bringing in a humungous £350,000 or about US$522,500 / €425,000.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation is known as one of the 10 most magnanimous institution associated with AIDS grant in the world. The organisation manages over £14 million in different programmes across 15 countries around the globe. The proceeds from the auction will go to the Elton AIDS Foundation.
