Porsche 911 prototype spy photos could indicate new model slotted between 4S and Turbo

by SpeedLux

Recently a new Porsche 911 prototype was spied testing on the tracks of Nürburgring which could mean that the model may be placed between the Carrera 4S and the Turbo.

In terms of styling, the prototype showed cues from both the 4S and Turbo versions of the latest 911. While it does not feature any side air intakes, the bumper at the back was seen wearing some camo on the Turbo-like air intakes.

Other features that were visible and could be possible are long quad exhausts and a modified cooling system between the rear spoiler and rear window. We also notice some revisions to the aerodynamics below the front lip and around the wheel arches.

We do not have much detail about the model as of now, but if we were to make an assumption, the company is planning a new 911 derivative which will be slotted in terms of power above the 4S (which has output of 400 hp) and below the Turbo (rated at 513 hp) version.

However there is no clarity at this moment as to how this new model will be positioned in relation to the GT3 and the upcoming GT3 RS.
