Porsche 991 GT3 which has debuted with 2013 Geneva Motor Show now debuted in America with 2013 New York Motor Show. The Porsche 991 is celebrating 50 years of existence with the launch of GT3 model which might be one of the best supercars of the year.
The Porsche 991 GT3 comes with a 3.8-litre flat engine with output generation of 475 hp at 8,250 rpm. The engine is just an adapted version of the engine already used in the current generation Porsche Carrera S. The car can accelerate to 100 kmph in less just 3.5 seconds and 200 kmph in less than 12 seconds. The car has a top speed of 314 kmph.
The car comes with PDK transmission which has replaced the traditional manual transmission gearbox. The car’s performance can be judged from the fact that the lap time on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife was a very impressive 7 minutes 30 seconds.
