Renault is testing a new Scenic and, as these fresh photos shows, Renault Scenic is up for a bigger facelift.
The current version has been on the market since 2009, and will all new mini MPVs comming out lately Renault has to work hard to keep its own Scenic model to still look fresh.
Considering that the current model is very capable in every road situation, in a city or on a motorway, on a straight or a twisty road, we expect the new model to be even more adaptable to different situations.
The current Scenic is 4.34 meters long and the rear lights are visible at a great distance and are almost completely vertical. Looked from the side is a typical MPV silhouette with an added height for a headroom.
In general, facelift models keep almost the same engine technology, with some minor changes. 2009-2010 Renault Scenic comes with in many engine options to choose from: both petrol and diesel. The engines which were marketed for the current version are the 1.5 dCi 85 HP, 90 HP, 105 HP, 110 HP, 150HP and 160 HP, and in the case of gasoline will have the 100 HP 1.6-liters, the 140 HP 2.0-liter, the 130 HP 1.4TCe and the 180 HP 2.0-liter TCE. So the new Scenic will likely keep about the same options.
The prototype is dressed with a lot of camouflage, so it’s hard to tell how it gonna look, but this facelifted model will probably keep some influences from the last Concept Cars shown by Renault. We talk about Frendzy, concept car set to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September. This concept car is a fully electric concept with an asymmetrically body.
