Despite the lack of information, a media from Australia has somehow managed to gather information right from a Land Rover insider that the luxury British marquee is working on a top range variant of the company’s Evoque model. The model in question will be none other than the Range Rover Evoque SVAutobiography.
As reported by the CarAdvice, Gerry McGovern, the chief creative officer and design director of Land Rover, the upcoming crossover from the company will be very stylish as well as luxurious and that it will slot above the company’s Evoque Autobiography model. This flagship variant of the British vehicle model will be the responsibility of the company’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division. Apparently, the car will be the most expensive Evoque variant ever, with a base price of GBP49,805 in its home country.
In addition to the upcoming SVAutobiography variant of the Range Rover Evoque, McGovern also reveals that the company has even begun working on the next generation variant of the model. This is ironic, considering that the company had only introduced the facelifted variant of the model since about a month ago. And, as if that is not enough to either attract or confuse customers as to which variant of the Range Rover Evoque to purchase, the company will even introduce an open top version, the Evoque Cabrio, just before the next generation version hits the market. It is believed that the Range Rover Evoque Cabrio will be making its world premiere this year itself, during the Frankfurt Motor Show event that will take place in September this year.
