Renault has recently disclosed plans to show a new version of the Clio RS at the upcoming 84th 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The company did not give any details about this new derivative of the Clio RS but chances are we are dealing with a range-topping Gordini version. According to a report which emerged in June last year, the Clio RS Gordini will generate an output of 230 HP (169 kW) and 285 Nm (210 lb-ft) from a turbocharged 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine which will make it 30 HP (22 kW) and 51 Nm (33 lb-ft) more powerful than the Clio RS.
Thanks to the increase in output, the Renault Clio RS Gordini will be able to accelerate to 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) in 5.9 seconds and will be able to hit a top speed of 155 mph (250 kmph). The Clio RS needs 6.7 seconds for the sprint and can hit a top speed of 143 mph (230 kmph).
Other goodies will include real carbon fiber inserts, alloy pedals, Recaro Sportster seats and choice of four exterior paints: Blue Gordini, Red Flame with platinum white stripes, Glacier White with blue stripes and Platinum Gray with Gordini blue stripes. The flagship Clio will also come with Gordini-branded floor mats, R-Link with RS Monitor and white or black mirror caps.
