Renault Clio Captur crossover patent images leaked

by SpeedLux

Recently the images of the Renault Clio Captur or so called Clio-based SUV got leaked over the internet.

The Captur has been spied many times earlier, but this time, with some help of the patent images, it is very clear that the car will be soon be seen at the Geneva Motor Show coming next year in March. The Renault Captur is a slightly raised version of the Clio IV and this means that it will probably share the same engine range as the hatchback, including the TCe 90, the 1.2 HP, the 1.5 liter dCi diesel in 75 HP and 90 HP and the 1.2 liter turbo with 120 HP. The as-of-yet unnamed crossover model looks like a longer, taller, and beefier version of the fourth generation Clio, which might not be a bad thing, but it definitely leaves a lot to be desired when you compare it with the original concept. There aren’t any details as to whether the car will offer FWD and AWD configurations, but the sources strongly say that, all-wheel drive system will be offered as an option on higher trim levels and the transmission choices will include a five-speed manual and a six-speed EDC double clutch.

The Renault Clio crossover will go on sale against models like the segment leader, the Nissan Juke, the all-new Opel / Vauxhall Mokka, the Peugeot 2008 or the Ford EcoSport.

Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced near to its launch, until then take a look at the images.
