Renault chairman Jean-Dominique Senard stated on Thursday the operating board of the Renault-Nissan alliance is set to meet by the end of January to discuss joint industrial initiatives.
Senard refused to go into more details of what these joint projects might be. He said cost savings could be major in the future but did not elaborate.
Senard stressed that he was no longer worried about the future of Renault’s alliance with Nissan, adding all the parameters were now in place for it to succeed.
Senard also said that there was no stress to hire a new chief executive at Renault, adding current interim arrangements were doing well.
Senard praised interim CEO Clotilde Delbos, he called him “extraordinary” and said the board of Renault would hold a meeting soon to discuss the issue.
