Report: Citroen E3 Essential concept to debut in Frankfurt

by SpeedLux

Citroen‘s C-lineup is about to get a transformation and very soon it would be called as a budget-brand. As per the latest report, the company has plans to preview the shift by unveiling the E3 Essential concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Set to come with a “Pure, Simple, Smart” philosophy, the model will allegedly take styling cues from the C4 Picasso and C-Cactus concept. The E3 Essential will eventually go into the production phase and feature familiar engines and large body panels to reduce manufacturing costs. In spite of the fact that the model is pretty much value oriented, the production model will reportedly feature a touchscreen infotainment system.

In the UK markets, the production version of the E3 Essential is expected to come with a price tag of £ 13,000 which means it will be almost equal to the cost of the Skoda Rapid.

The Citroen E3 Essential concept is expected to be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show to be held in Germany in the month of September. More details are expected to be out when the launch date nears and surely we will keep you updated as we come to know about it.
