Citroen 2CV to be out in 2014

The latest details have emerged and it is about the Citroen 2CV which will be showcased in 2014.

The model would have a codename the E3 essential and would be based on C4 platform. The car would have a styling based on C-Cactus Concept already displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007

There is no thorough information on engine specifications, but already some leaked information suggest that there will be a 92 HP (68 kW) diesel and two petrol units with outputs of 82 HP (60 kW) and 100 HP (74 kW).

A model is likely to be unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show before the actual car comes out in the spring of 2014.

The pricing is a rough estimate only and one can guess that it would have a base price of roughly €16,000 ($21,200 / £13,000).
