Buick Envision mid-sized crossover had its launching in Detroit and later on at the Cleveland Auto Show, the tri-shield brand name held up the intro of its new 2017 Encore small crossover for previous week’s New York Auto Show.
The Encore is noted to be Buick’s best selling crossover.
The 2017 Encore goes on the market this fall, at first offered in five trim levels: Encore (1SB), Encore Sport Touring (1SH), Encore Convenience (1SD), Encore Leather (1SL) and Encore Premium (1SN). Front-wheel drive is basic, with four-wheel drive readily available.
All 2017 Encore models offer room for 5 and up to 48.4 cubic feet of storage space with the 60/40 split rear seat folded. Basic functions consist of 10 air bags, and StabiliTrak stability improvement.
Inside the hood, a 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic can be found. Stop/start innovation will be available on many trims to help in fuel economy while in the city, but the EPA has yet to offer any approximation for the brand-new Encore.
