The latest offering from Rolls Royce has finally graced the roads, and all the hype that surrounded it is completely justified. The Rolls Royce Ghost takes off from where the Phantom left off, and is a beautiful addition to the range of luxury cars from Rolls Royce. It is a bit smaller in size as compared to its predecessor, but the Rolls Royce Ghost packs every bit of a solid punch when it comes to class and beauty. However, the Rolls Royce Ghost has been designed to be one of the low price models of the series, and it can be bought for around $255,000. However, its low price does not mean that the features of the car are in any way not up to the mark.
The luxury vehicle was unveiled in 2009 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and has appealed extensively to the mass audience. Twenty percent of the parts that are used in the Rolls Royce Ghost have been borrowed from the BMW F01 platform, but over all the car has a completely new look and style that is unmatched by any other model of its kind. It has a powerful 6.6 L twin turbo V12 engine which is deemed to produce up to 563 horse powers, and the car has a ZF 8 speed automatic transmission which just enhances its beauty. The engine is extremely quiet, and even when accelerating, all that the driver would be able to hear is the faint hum that comes from beneath the hood. As is common in all Rolls Royce models, this one is also designed to provide extreme luxury and beauty, and can go from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.7 seconds. The top speed of the Rolls Royce Ghost would be around 155 mph.
