Seat has unveiled the Leon Ecomotive and Leon TGI at the ongoing 65th edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.

Talking about the Leon Ecomotive, it is a fuel-efficient model that comes well equipped with an engine start/stop system, regenerative brakes and low rolling resistance tires. Other highlights of the model include reduced ride height, underbody panels and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.

Under the hood, the power is provided by a 1.6-liter TDI engine that would generate 110 HP (81 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. This would enable the model to return fuel economy of 3.2 L/100km (73.5 mpg US / 88.2 mpg UK) and will have CO2 emissions of just 85 g/km.

On the other hand, the Leon TGI comes with a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine that can run on petrol or compressed natural gas (CNG). It can generate 110 HP (81 kW) and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft) of torque which enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 10.9 seconds. It can hit a top speed of 194 kmph (120 mph) and travel up to 400 km (248 miles) on CNG alone. When the two CNG tanks are exhausted, the model can go upto additional 900 km (559 miles) thanks to a 50 liter petrol tank.
