Are you a fan of the American muscle cars? If so, you must want to see this, the Super Snake Signature Edition. Yes, Shelby American has just taken the veil off this special edition model officially. The company is currently planning to offer this option for the Ford Shelby GT500 models manufactured between 2007 and 2014. This special edition of the Shelby Super Snake is bound to come with quite a few interesting features, such as, special edition badges, forged wheels from Weld that feature center caps with the Signature Edition emblem on them and specially designed body stripes.
Of course, there will also be several upgrade offerings to the interior, albeit slightly limited. In the cabin, customers can expect to find floor mats decorated with the Signature Edition emblem, unique Signature Edition plaque and even a steering wheel that has the name Carroll Shelby printed on it.
Underneath the bonnet of the car hides a 5.8L V8 engine. It comes with a supercharger from Kenne Bell that helps boost its power output to 850 hp. And if you are worried about the engine overheating, the car comes with aluminum cooling tanks, heat exchanger and a new radiator.
Speaking of the special edition Super Snake, Joe Conway, CEO Shelby American, expresses that the era of the present GT500 is coming to an end. With that being said, the company intends to commemorate what it describes as the sunset of a critical era. Conway also claims that the Shelby Super Snake actually deserves a special edition model.
However, for those who would like to lay their hands on the Shelby Super Snake Signature Edition, they will have to hurry. The reason is, according to Joe Conway and Shelby American, the order book for this special signature package will not be available for good. In other words, this car is just for the elite group of Shelby car owners. Price will begin from $44,995 and only 50 examples of the vehicle will be built.
