Sixth Generation BMW 7 Series Prototype Spied

by SpeedLux

The next generation of BMW 7 series’ prototype has been spied and photographed a few times now.

The latest view of the prototype was able to provide some more details about this closely guarded model. The sixth generation of the BMW 7 series is expected to make a splash at the Frankfurt motor show in September of 2015.

The BMW 7 series model was also spied a few days back that showed the production head lights. The prototype that was spied recently was also highly camouflaged so that design details could not be understood. But it was seen that the tail lights were different. The tail lights no longer extend into the tailgate and look rather small for the model. However, there is no confirmation whether this is the final prototype before production or whether it will undergo further changes.

BMW has confirmed that the new generation model will feature a carbon fibre chassis that will make the vehicle much lighter than the existing one. The new automobile which can lose around a couple of hundred kgs will be available fitted with a host of engines. In addition to the V12 and V8 engines, turbocharged 3 liter petrol and diesel engines will also be featured.
