SKODA Yeti Xtreme concept with ‘rally car ambitions’ revealed for Wörthersee

Skoda has sold around 640,000 Yetis since its debut in 2009 and later this week will show a rally-car inspired Yeti Xtreme concept at this year’s GTI event at Wörthersee. Skoda is also showing a compact CitiJet that we already covered last week.

The Yeti Xtreme is powered by a 150 horsepower 1.8-liter TSI engine linked to a six-speed dual clutch transmission (DSG). It is not the fastest SUV, but for a 150 hp it is quite sharp, going from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 9 seconds, while its top speed is 192 km/h (120 mph).

Visually it is a very attractive SUV, finished with a matt-grey and bright yellow-green exterior, riding on powerful 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with large off-road tires, hiding Octavia RS brakes.

The concept also shows tinted side windows, while roof and wheel rim inserts are set off in bright yellow-green.

The front bumper is updated with large air intake, along with LED headlights. The height of the chassis can be adjusted for off-roading.

At the rear is also a new bumper with two wide exhaust tailpipes.

The interior continues with the same color theme, featuring 4 individual Recaro sports seats with integrated four-point safety belts. There is also a ‘Super Sport’ steering wheel with integrated gearshift paddles.
