Smart is among those automakers that are excited about revealing their upcoming vehicle projects. Today, at the stage of this year’s Detroit Auto Show, the company is introducing yet another vehicle it dubs the ForTwo Edition Flashlight. The car will reportedly arrive at dealerships around the world in April this year itself.
Honestly speaking, however, the Smart ForTwo is most likely to become an outgoing model. As such, the Edition Flashlight may well be the last special edition of the model. For this special edition in particular, buyers will be able to choose either a matte crystal white or a deep black hue. In addition to that, regardless of the color they choose, buyers will also receive orange mirror housings and tridion safety cell, a front grille dominated by the black color and a set of black three-spoke alloy wheels that come with lava orange hub covers. To further emphasize that the model is a special edition, Smart has also equipped it with H7 projector headlamps that come along with a titanium background. There is also a special edition emblem available in the mirror triangle of the vehicle.
The car offers 71 hp of maximum power for the base trim that is priced at 17,580 Euros. This trim runs on a naturally aspirated 1.0L 3-cylinder engine. A turbocharged version is also available for a little more sum of cash. With 18,150 Euros, customers can get a turbo engine spitting 84 hp of power in total. It turns out there is going to be an electric version of the car as well and it will be valued at 22,992 Euros.
The Smart ForTwo Edition Flashlight comes with a retractable roof, too. According to Smart, there is no need for any support braces since the car has a pretty durable tridion safety cell in place.
