South Korean prosecutors indicted 7 present and previous executives and workers of Volkswagen regional unit in addition to one contractor for supposed offense of the Clean Air Conservation Act and other charges, the prosecutors’ workplace stated.
With the indictment, South Korean prosecutors finished up its investigation into Volkswagen’s emissions cheating scandal that started when the nation’s environment ministry submitted a criminal complaint versus the head of car manufacturer’s regional unit early 2016.
Those indicted consist of present executive at Audi Volkswagen Korea Johannes Thammer, along with previous executives of the Korean unit Trevor Hill and Park Dong-hoon, authorities at the Seoul Central Prosecutors’ Workplace informed Reuters.
A regional spokesperson for Volkswagen refused to comment.
