Spied: Dodge Challenger powered by Viper SRT10 cruising in public

A lot of us might have forgotten about the SRT10 powered Dodge Challenger. It is not really about a bad taste for a V-10 with 8.4L displacement forced into the Chrysler muscle car but we know that SEMA cars do typically have a short shelf life. Spy photographers were even surprised when their lenses caught the 600 horsepower Challenger rolling on public streets.

We were not exactly sure why but the car was way beyond the borders of the company’s testing grounds. What’s even more surprising was it did what most testing cars will not do. It parked in lots where it can easily be spotted and it practically obeyed all traffic always. No hot pursuits taking us from one gas station to another and no rubbers burning.

Is the Challenger SRT10 heading to the production pipeline? No we cannot confirm that but it is most likely that one lucky soul was able to sneak past the gates of their headquarters and took the car for a joyride around the town. We do not want to burst your bubble totally. It is quite nice to imagine even a limited run for the Challenger SRT10 and giving the Camaro SS of Chevrolet and the Shelby GT500 of Ford Mustang a good shiver. No expensive tabs for dreaming, right? J

    @Chole

    Autoblog has strict rules with their images. They pay lot of money for them. I am sure their rule is something like use 1 photo and link to the rest.

    This guy has made a site out of stealing pictures. Let’s see how friendly KGP will be once they learn about the illegal use of the photos
