Volkswagen Touareg is one of the most sought after cars from the German automakers and the Gold Edition just seems to justify this all the more. But what Volkswagen is doing with the car is to get rid of most of the gold parts of the car and introduce some racing elements into the car. This new edition has been christened the Race Touareg 3 by the company and will be the 2nd model of the same series. The brand new edition was put on display at the Qatar Motor Show this year. This edition of the car is basically a genuine Rally motorsport vehicle similar to the one that was used in the Dakar Rally. The primary difference between them is that this model is entirely street-legal.
Being a rally racing car it has lived up to the expectations of being a fast car. It has been so designed as to sprint off to a 60 mph speed from rest in a mere matter of 6 seconds. The Race Touareg 3 Qatar edition is clad in the same white exterior shade named “Magic Morning” paint which was painted on the Gold Edition Study edition. This edition though will have a golden colored shimmer with it that will add to the polished look of the car. The similarity with the Gold Edition though is still there with the use of the same gold 18 inch wheels from the BBS edition. The car also has a “Race Touareg” signature stamped along the side of the car. But the similarity though ends right here.
The interiors of the SUV have been inspired by the Stealth Look air craft and do wonders to the Volkswagen car. The look created and designed by Volkswagen includes Recaro racing buckets, along with a roll cage in “Serpentino Grey Metallic”. The door trim panels are clad in “Black” and “Pure Grey” Nubuk leather. The central seat panels have got perforated Nappa leather in Titan Black color. The Dakar victories have been listed on the aluminum center console in the car right beside the “Race Touareg” signature adding the cherry to the cake. The car is all set to rule the roads with sheer class and perfection.
