Subaru revealed the 2017 Impreza sedan and five-door hatchback throughout the New York Auto Show. The compact vehicle will be the newest design built at the firm’s plant in Lafayette.

These designs will be the first Imprezas integrated in the United States. Previously, the vehicles were put together at plants in Japan and Malaysia.

In September 2015, Subaru declared a 1,200-worker growth in Lafayette as the firm prepared to increase production by 100,000 automobiles each year. Hiring is anticipated to continue through this year, Tom Easterday, executive vice president of Subaru of Indiana Automotive stated.

The new Impreza is the first model to utilize Subaru’s Global Platform architecture, which will quickly be the foundation of many future Subaru vehicles and sport utility automobiles.

There are going to be 4 trim lines offered: 2.0 i base, Premium, Sport and Limited, as per Subaru of America.

The new car ought to roll off the assembly line and into dealership showrooms by the end of the year.
