Do you happen to be waiting for the Subaru Levorg wagon to finally arrive? Well, there is good news for you. The Japanese automaker has made an official announcement indicating that the aforementioned wagon model will be released this fall itself, albeit in the UK. Well, the company seems to be choosing UK as the first market to release the Levorg wagon because the company has been doing great in terms of sales in the country since 2014. Compared to the year 2013, Subaru saw an increase of sales by a margin of 23%. Of course, this sales increase is also partially because of the arrival of new models, such as the Impreza and WRX STi. The company has also made it clear that it will be launching another model as well, the Forester Lineartronic. The latter will be unveiled in April this year, according to the company. Before that, it will introduce the Outback first in March 2015. Then, in fall, the company plans to eventually release the Levorg wagon.
So far, there are not too many details available just yet in respect to the said wagon. It is known, however, that the Japanese automaker will be offering a JDM-spec variant. This variant is said to be coming with a turbocharged 1.6L DIT direct injection engine and is capable of 170 hp and 250 Nm of power output and torque. For an alternative, it is said that a turbocharged 2.0L DIT engine will be offered as well, with a total power output and torque of 300 hp and 400 Nm, respectively. For the drivetrain, the car will have a symmetrical AWD drivetrain and as for the gearbox, it will have either a Lineartronic gearbox or a Sport Lineartronic, depending on the engine of choice.
Up to now, Subaru is keeping the details of pricing for the wagon. The company only plans to release it once the launching date of the model has approached closer.
