This Saturday SV Motor Company will introduce a SV 9 Competizione in San Francisco. Based on the Corvette C6 it has a new Italian-styled custom body and upgraded interior.
Even though the overall shape has not changed much compared to the C6 it has plenty of “Italian” in it.
Carbon fiber body was designed to allow the passage of high velocity air around and through the body surfaces. New mesh grillwork was designed to capture maximum air, vents on the hood and rear ducts are meant to keep the engine bay temperatures down and brakes cool.
Extensive use of carbon fiber makes it 132 pounds lighter than the stock Corvette C6. New weight is 3085 lbs (1399 kg) which provides a 50/50 weight distribution.
Corvette’s dual brake lights are converted to just one light on the side and twin exhaust pipes are moved to the sides.
Interior is upgraded with carbon fiber reinforced seating upholstered in hand-tooled Italian leather. Steering wheel can be finished in burlwood, carbon fiber or leather. Future owners can choose between 25 different exterior colors – 18 standard and 7 special edition colors. Four wheel choices and five interior trim choices will be available.
LS3 engine power output is increased from 436 horsepower to 450 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) takes 4.0 seconds and quarter mile can be passed in 12.0 seconds.
Production will be limited to 1,000 units at a cost of $99,995, including donor C6 Corvette.
