A 19-year-old trainee has asserted she was taking a partially nude selfie to send to her boyfriend when she crashed into the back of a police vehicle in Texas.

A City of Bryan police officer parked near Texas A&M university about 100 miles northwest of Houston while he examined a disturbance when Miranda Kay Rader’s automobile rear-ended his car.

As he approached the vehicle he observed its air bag had released and the driver had her bra unfastened and was attempting to put her t-shirt back on.

Report includes that she informed the officer she was driving back to her dormitory on campus and had been sending out a Snapchat image to her boyfriend.

Authorities state the officer likewise saw an open bottle of wine in her control panel cup holder.

Ms Rader was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence and bailed on a $2,000 bond.
