Toyota will be displaying a long line of debuts at the Paris Motor Show, including several hybrids and now we present to you all, the official debut of the Toyota GT86 TRD.
The car has got a full aero body kit with a front chinstrap, side skirts, boot spoiler and a rear apron incorporating a diffuser and a new set of twin exhausts. There’s a also a set of 18-inch black alloys with teeny tiny low-profile tyres, upgraded suspension and portlier brakes.
The Toyota GT86 highlights itselves for driving fun and customization. That’s why the automaker went as far as to sell a different version in Japan with an unpainted front bumper and no stereo. Toyota Racing Development (TRD) is also offering a huge amount of goodies to the rear-drive car.
There are a lot of improvisations seen such as: larger 18-inch TRD wheels that can fit wider 225 tires and a TRD brake upgrade , the car also wears a body kit that gives a lower, longer front lip and revised front look. A new rear diffuser also acts to reduce lift at speed.
In addition, Toyota installed a new and adjustable suspension system, thicker anti-roll bars on the front and rear, improved Brembo disc brakes – 355 mm in the front and 345 mm in the rear – vented rotors, and a new exhaust system that produces better response times.
Other additions seen are :a carbon suspension strut brace and a TRD-badged oil filler cap, a push ignition button, and a new set of sport bucket seats in the interior.
Needless to say, it’s a car that we’d love to see here on our roads, but can’t because of it’s UK exclusivity. It will go on sale at the start of next year. Stay tuned for more Updates on this car and other cars which are being previewed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
