Toyota Hybrid-R concept teased again

Toyota has released yet another teaser image (this is the second one) for the Hybrid-R concept which will be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show to be held in Germany starting September 10.

The Japanese car maker claims that the concept is based on one of the company’s production models and has a powertrain which has similar tech as seen in the TS030 Hybrid race car. The concept uses a conventional internal combustion engine with electric motors to produce a combined output of more than 400 hp (298 kW). It has been fitted with a dual mode control which will tailor the vehicle’s performances according to road or circuit conditions.

The image does not reveal very clearly the styling but after increasing the brightness level to the maximum possible level, it can be seen that the concept is based on the Yaris and comes with a more aggressive body kit complemented by large multi-spoke alloys. Other features of the concept include large air vents, a big grille and what appears to be a lowered suspension.

As of now not much detail is available about the concept but we expect more details to be out as and when the launch date comes nearer.
