Toyota to offer a new version of the BMW 1-Series

by SpeedLux

As per the reports out of Japan, Toyota could offer a never seen model focused on the BMW 1-Series.

Details are not many but Best Car Magazine has told that the model is codenamed as the 69DZ and will be revealed in 2017. Little else is thought about the car but it will allegedly slot below the GT 86 and it will include styling just like the 1-Series hatchback.

Under the hood, we can assume a regularly suctioned 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 130 bhp (112 kW) and 150 Nm (110 lb-ft) of torque. It will allegedly be connected to six-speed programmed and manual transmissions.

The model will reportedly be presented by a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, next year.
