Two killed after car crash on I-55 in Copiah County

Two people were killed after a car crash in Copiah County, Mississippi on Monday.

The crash took place just before 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 55 near Crystal Springs when a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 37-year-old identified Adaiah Curry, of McComb, was traveling south on I-55 when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree in the median.

Curry and the passenger, a 33-year-old identified as Aaron Curry, of Indianola, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
