2 killed after car crash crash in Clay County

Two people were killed as the result of a crash around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Clay County, Missouri.

The crash took place at Near Salem Road at Northeast 162nd Street, when a 2007 Ford Edge crossed the center line and hit a 2003 Buick Park Avenue.

Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Ford driver has been identified as a 73-year-old named James Massa, of Excelsior Estates, and the Buick driver as 88-year-old Victoria Kohler, of Lawson.

Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
