Two people died following a car crash in Oakland, California on Tuesday night.
The crash took place when a 26-year-old, who was speeding in a bus lane on International Boulevard, killed a 17-year-old passenger and injured a 16-year-old driver of a vehicle coming in the opposite direction after veering into their lane.
The 26-year-old also died from the crash that took place near 78th Avenue.
Oakland police described it as a hit-and-run crash.
The 16-year-old driver fled and was arrested. He was being treated at hospital for treatment of a broken wrist.
It is yet to be known whether alcohol or drugs are a factor in the crash.
