Two were killed after a car crash in New Bedford, Massachusetts, on 4th July.
Officials responded to the crash around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday to a single-car crash on Route 140 northbound.
The car was being driven by a 38-year-old man, with a 35-year-old woman inside the car.
Both were both pronounced dead on the scene.
Both were from Newport News, Virginia, but their identities haven’t been released.
The victims were traveling in a Mercury Milan in the left lane when their car exited the highway and hit a guardrail, before entering the median and striking into a tree, according to the police.
Speed is said to be the factor in the incident.
The left travel lane shut for three hours after the crash as the investigation into the incident continued.
