Two killed, one injured after car crash in Birmingham

Two men died and another person was seriously injured following a car crash in Birmingham.

The crash took place at around 9:50 pm on Tuesday when the red Toyota Yaris crashed into street furniture at the junction of Hagley Road West and Winchfield Drive, Harborne.

When paramedics attended the site they saw the car was ablaze and two men in their 20s, the driver and a passenger.

Two were pronounced dead at the scene.

The third person was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham with serious injuries.

The road was shut between Wolverhampton Road and Bearwood High Street from Tuesday until about 6 am of 12 January.
