Two killed, two injured after car crash in southwest Kansas

Two people are dead after a crash that took place around 6:30 a.m. on Monday in Allen County, Kansas.

A 62-year-old identified as Gordon Lane, of Ottawa, was southbound on U.S. Highway 169 about one mile east of Humboldt when his 2001 Chevy Silverado went left of the center and then hit a 2019 Ford F-150 headed north carrying three people.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, a 45-year-old identified as Jaime Ellis, of Iola, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The two passengers, a 42-year-old identified as David Glaze of Carbondale and a 6-year-old identified as Kylynn Collins of Iola, were admitted to area hospitals with a suspected serious injury.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
