Two people were killed and two others seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in Englewood on Monday evening.
The crash took place when an SUV, driven by a 25-year-old Englewood man, was heading south on State Road 776 at about 6:30 p.m.
Another vehicle tried to enter the intersection in front of the oncoming vehicle, when they crashed.
The driver of this another vehicle, a 73-year-old woman from Englewood, and one of her passengers, a 68-year-old woman from Grand Forks, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was hospitalized in serious condition; another passenger in the second vehicle, a 68-year-old woman was injured as well.
The crash is being investigated by Florida Highway Patrol.
