Nissan stated on Friday its British car factory would not open until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak, having previously stated it would be shut until the end of the week.

“This suspension will now continue until further notice,” the company stated. “We will keep assessing supply chain disruption and market demand as the situation evolves.”

About 5,018 people in the United Kingdom have been confirmed as being infected with the coronavirus. The virus has killed about 233 people in the country.
